GCON4 MFL provides an easy, fast, and safe method of migrating and updating massive volumes of data to Unit4 ERP. This powerful tool enables you to bulk import, update, and validate master files and transactional data, as well as associated relations, flexi-fields and document archives, in a single step.

GCON4 Master File Loader allows us to retrieve, update, and insert master file attribute values (in multi-language) together with their relations, flexi-fields and document archive.

The tool is compatible with auto-numbering and workflow functionalities.

How does it work?

The application was developed as an ACT to be compatible with the functionalities of Unit4ERP and it is available on the Unit4 ERP Web client.

MFL runs three server processes, to be known:

1. MFL05 (Generate MFL File) for the generation of empty templates and for the retrieval of data.
2. MFL04 (Load MFL File)  for the loading of templates (performs the validations and stores the data in the ERP)
3. MFL06 (XML Upload) controls the use of user-defined XML templates that modify the structure of the regular excel template generated through MFL05 (See the advanced course to learn how to use it.)

Normally, the generate and loading operations are used via topgen windows:

These windows run the MFL05 and MFL04 server processes in the background, respectively.

Once the GCON4 MFL tool is installed, the administrator should grant permissions to users on the relevant masterfiles and manage the kind of operation they are allowed to perform: C (Create – Insert)  – R (Read) – U (Update).
